Local spearfishing

David and I wanted to go snorkelling, so we accompanied the guys on their spear fishing trip to a reef just off shore that has been turned up sideways and sticking out of the water, from a cyclone that had gone through the area 25 years ago.

This is a photo of Alex getting his second catch of the day. I had actually spotted the victim and waved to David for a view of it, and with barely a chance to take a photo, it was speared. I had to be quiet and careful of what I oogled and got excited over now, for fear of a similar fate for the critter.

Let's just say I didn't do much photography this trip out to the reef.
