My friends at Sinifara

My friends at Sinifara

As we arrived at Sinifara, we could hear the Kundu drums beating in the distance as the local children ran excitedly up and down the banks of the mangrove covered mini harbour.

As we walked up the steep grassy embankment, I was presented with a traditional tapas design by the cheifs daughter, Mia. We were both adorned with stringed flowers around our necks and watery soft flower petals were thrown at our faces.
As the singing and drumming continued, we followed the dancers path as they lead us around, then finally to a bench where we recieved fresh fruit and coconuts. It was all very elaborate and the singing was amazing.
This is a photo taken with Colins other daughter and their friendly pig buddy.
