Tom paddling the Lagatoi

We stayed with Colins family for four days, while touring the local surrounding villages. The first village we visited was to the West of Sinifara, and it was called Siu ('See-ooh'). Next one was Utukwafu (ut-to-kwaf). Both were beautiful spots for a kayaking. We met up with some of the dancers from the previous night and thanked them for their incredible performance.
We then went snorkelling down one of the many estuaries and I played with an Up-Side-Down Jelly fish and Gerry found a beautiful scorpionfish, but I can't seem to find those photos.
That evening Tom came and picked us up from Sinifara and paddled us to his village east of there and down an amazing mangrove inlet.

Ahhh. You're making me homesick. Rememberr the iron roof two story house down near the canoe hole in Utukwafu Bay? That's our house. We spent 20 years and raised 3 sons at Utukwafu, and plan to visit again this next year.
We're concerned about typhoon Guba's effects on the area, especially the gardens at Utukwafu and the low lying villages further along Collingwood Bay. Pray for our friends.
Cheers,
David
