Flying to Tufi

We flew to Tufi via a Twin Otter 20 seater plane. It looked like this flying 0ut of Moresby, but when we arrived 45 minutes later on the north coast, the rains had settled low on the horizon and we had to travel quite a distance off shore to find an opening we could sweep through.

The heavy low-riding fog draped itself over the grassy fiordland extensions and the wind-driven rain drops padded on the window as we tucked into the grass field that is the airstrip.
