Creeping out a smile in the bitter cold rains of the mountains

Okay so not every day was warm and sunny. On this day of hiking, the rains started at around 10am and didn't quit until the next morning. This makes for extremely slippery climbing up the slopes, cold wet gear (higher mountains, colder temp's), water running into the boots even with gaiters on and mud, mud, mud caked on everything. Water gets on and in everything here, whether it's in the form of rain, sweat, humidity, or whatever else...Nothing stays dry, so cotton is a no no!!
It's hard to tell, as the rain let up for a minute, but it's actually raining in this picture and I'm forcing out a smile as I shiver in my cotton "leader tee shirt".
