Gerry and I at Brigade hill

Gerry (pronounced "Gary") was the right hand man of the trip. He helped co-ordinate the helping buna boys and often would speak in Pigeon to the local representitives of a particular village/ area. He also was the rear sweep part of the time, making sure no clients were having difficulties.
This photo was taken at Brigade Hill, where a brutal battle was faught between the Japanese and the Australians, where many young lives were taken (many of the soldiers were only teens).
