Countless paintings are hung around the grounds, demonstrating different techniques used for getting out 'confessions' and 'information'. In this device, the prisoners arms were tied behind their back, then they were suspended from their wrists untill they lost consciousness, then were dropped and their head was dunked into a vat of filthy water until, they regained consciousness, then they were strung up again. This was repeated until they "confessed to the crime"
