Heading back to Townsville....

The way back to Townsville offered some unique experiences. We dropped in on Nimbin which is where they held the dawning of the age of aquarius celebrations- and hundreds of young naked hippies climbed the volcanic spires (they didn't climb naked...they got naked at the top) near Nimbin and welcomed in the new era of peace. Ever since then, the small country community of Nimbin was transformed to a hippy haven.

We spent some time with our friends Jay, Yvette and Lara in Brisbane...

And as we travelled North, through the thick rains, we got to see strange and wonderful creatures everywhere.

This is called a Plains Bustard. This little Echidna was on the road wattling along. So we stopped to nab a photo.

The amazing Bottle trees
