Start of the hike
When David and I arrived in Ahousat, we jumped off the boat at the first dock and started walking through the village to the trailhead just past the school(thanks to the map Jack had drawn me). The sky was mostly clear except for tiny clusters of puffy clouds that the morning sunlight seemed to bounce off of.
We passed the trail mark and started towards the coastline. Along the bogs meandering boardwalk, an inversion layer had flash frozen to the mid sections of thin grasses in the mud flats causing a unique collection of suspended ice sculptures 6 inches from the ground.
Ah a photo oppurtunity and break from the weight that gravity pulled on, to bring us closer to the earth.
