After parting ways, I booked a day bus to Mae Sai to cross into the Burmese country then back into Thailand. Saw some neat things like cashew farms and burmese mined sapphire outlets. When I returned to Chiang mai late in the day, I decided that I would go to the east to see what was there.
It is a whole different Thailand over there. I was the only Farang (foreigner) there were absolutely no english signs or english speaking people. It was off the beaten path. I went to one of the National parks which was quite difficult to get to if you were not on a set tour.... this was the view from the back of the PMV as we skirted up the mountain range.
